Inspired by gracefully aged French country houses, this home was constructed on a tight 50’ x 150’ lot adjoining Boulder Mountain Parks. The home’s floor plan cascades with the hillside and fosters a natural flow of living spaces. Its carefully placed windows and skylights flood the home with an abundance of natural light.
Major exterior materials include Arkansas sandstone, cedar trim and fascia, natural hard-coat stucco and a clay barrel-tile roof. The interior features concrete floors warmed with radiant heat, integral colored plaster walls and oak trim throughout. An intimate rear patio was built from indigenous stone, allowing the garden to fuse with the adjoining mountainside.
