VIA BROADWAY

Via Broadway is a mixed-use development located just north of Boulder’s downtown mall in the Mapleton Hill Historic District. The goal of the project was to create residential lofts with a mix of commercial offices while preserving and restoring the on-site, historic Chapman House. The design solution resulted in seven unique residential lofts anchored by the new corporate law offices of an established Boulder law firm. The building wraps around the carefully restored and landmarked Chapman House, which is now commercial offices.

The exterior of the building blends contemporary details with the traditional materials that are characteristic of this historic Boulder neighborhood. Red brick and stone accents fuse with the contemporary flair of colored stucco, modern steel detailing and expansive windows to create a building that embraces the future while acknowledging the past.
